About CAS Finder
Chemical sourcing,
done properly.
A chemical-first discovery platform. Search by name, CAS number, or synonym and find verified suppliers — in seconds, not hours.
01 — Our starting point
Why we built it
Buyers waste hours phoning round catalogues and chasing distributors for something as simple as a price on a CAS number. Suppliers pay to be listed on directories that feel stuck in 2005. Both sides deserve better, and neither was getting it.
We built CAS Finder as a modern, search-led alternative. The experience is designed around the thing you’re actually looking for — the chemical — rather than the companies that sell it.
You search a chemical. You land on the chemical’s page. Then you see the suppliers who stock it. It sounds obvious. Most chemical directories get it backwards.
02 — What we believe
Four principles
The chemical comes first. Search results prioritise chemicals over suppliers when you’re searching for a substance. Paid placement can make a supplier more visible, but it can never make the wrong chemical appear first.
Fair pricing for suppliers. The platform is free to join. There’s no reason a small distributor should be priced out of being found by serious buyers. Paid plans start at £49/month when you’re ready to grow. You can read the detail on our pricing page.
Authoritative data. Chemical records, CAS numbers, synonyms, and properties come from PubChem and comparable public scientific databases, normalised into a single canonical record per substance rather than fragmented across many supplier listings.
Privacy by default. We collect the minimum data the platform needs in order to work. No advertising trackers, no buyer-data sales, no dark patterns. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
03 — Who it’s for
Two sides of the same market
Buyers — procurement teams, lab managers, and formulators sourcing reagents, solvents, intermediates, and specialty chemicals. Search and enquiries are free and always will be. You don’t need an account to browse or send a quote request, and you keep the relationship with whichever supplier you choose to work with.
Suppliers — chemical distributors, manufacturers, and specialty importers who want serious buyers to find them. Plans start at zero. You list your catalogue, verify your profile, and receive enquiries direct. We don’t broker leads or take a percentage — the relationship between you and the buyer is yours.
04 — Where we are
Plainly
Based and hosted in the United Kingdom. Chemical data sourced from public scientific databases. No investors pushing us to compromise on buyer experience. No roadmap to add retargeting or ad-tech. If that’s the kind of platform you’d like to use or list on, you’re in the right place.
